Microherbs are a big commodity in Europe and the Middle East. Saw a reference to Microherbs by our friend Grahame Dunling in a recent post on Linkedin and decided to experiment using our techniques to attempt to grow them. Microherbs have been described to pack an unparalled punch of flavor so we are anxious to taste the fruit of our efforts. Below are pics of both sango radish and flax microgreens that we are experimenting with. Microherbs are what we might refer to as baby greens but they are much smaller as it seems the tender spot is when the first true leaves start to sprout and the microgreen transitions to full plant. We are trying several crops with a different technique and media to grow past our microgreen stage and get to the microherb. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for results and a new kit that will provide a hybrid experience of growing BOTH microgreens and microherbs at the same time !!!

From the very beginning of our journey to provide you with the best experience in growing microgreens our mission is to create a sustainable store for us. Today we are announcing the closing of our store on this site to concentrate on our etsy store which has provided more sales than the web store. Rather than duplicate our efforts, we have decided to streamline the business and provide a better system for our kits. We will introduce new products or sales on this blog, so subscribe to the feed to stay up on developments. You can also go to our store page for a link directly to our etsy store. We would like to give you a sneak peak at our line of kits that will be based on the three growing tray sizes and offer you different seeds as options rather than listing so many variations of the kits. This should make shopping significantly easier and allow you to order seeds and other supplies simply and with less confusion. Pictured below is our product matrix that features the three kits and what are included and the new pricing. We are going to go with a simple model that allows you to order the initial kits and then reorder seeds and supplies of any variety from then on. Our kit sizes will be named, Starter (6" tray), Personal (7" tray) and familiy (9" tray). The actual crop difference between the Starter and Personal kits is almost 50% while going to the family tray will give you almost 3 times the crop vs the Starter.
